Who can compete?
- Dogs registered in the FCM breeding book or the breeding book of a foreign association, recognized by the FCI.
- Have the age established in the categories of the exhibition.
- Are free of disease symptoms.
- They are not subject to closure in the registry of descendants. The owners who are not persons legally subject to an event ban and are current in their FCM membership fee.
Depending on their age on the day of the competition, the categories for short-haired / long-haired females and males are:
- Puppy “a” (03 to 06 months)
- Puppy «b» (06 months + 1 day to 09 months)
- Puppy “c” (09 months +1 day to 12 months)
- Very young (12 months + 1 day to 18 months)
- Young (18 months + 1 day to 24 months)
- Adults without title (over 24 months)
- Adults with a title (over 24 months with IGP or similar)
Adults with a title
To participate in the adult category with a title, the dogs must have obtained at least the IGP title (or it’s similar), accredited by a judge recognized by the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) or by the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) in FCI sanctioned events.
The judge can request the original pedigree of any dog and in the adult category with a title males and females, all participants must present the original documents, being necessary to present the following documentation per dog that cannot be missing to compete:
- Original pedigree
- Work card
- If applicable, the original document that certifies the breeding selection, IGP or its equivalent

Best Mexican Breeding
The special trophy for the best Mexican breeding of the Sieger Intercontinental 2022. It will be for the best specimen born in Mexico. This title will be chosen among the specimens born in the Mexican Republic that have reached the highest place in the competition of each category, consequently, it could be possible to have 28 specimens competing for this award, including short-haired and long-haired males and females. . This competition will be exclusive for dogs whose genealogy proves to have been born in national territory..
Progeny group
Each male who presents his group must: be registered in the adult category with a title, parade before the Judge and the public with a sample of no less than 5 specimens, of their most outstanding progeny, it is a requirement to fill out the registration form for the reproduction or progeny group.
Breeders and fans can observe the characteristics that each breeder is transmitting to their offspring in a dominant way. The judge makes an evaluation of each group and highlights the main qualities that the breeder is transmitting, also pointing out some less positive aspects that the breeder must take into account when crossing his females with this specimen.
Veterans
Dogs entered in this category must be at least 6 years old.
Breeding Groups
Presentation of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 dogs from a dog breeder, which has already been presented at the Sieger Intercontinental FCM-FCI 2022. The breeding group is evaluated according to the criteria valid for this case: homogeneity, considering at least two possible parents and the quality of each of the animals. SANCTIONS AND RULES TO FOLLOW
- Dogs withdrawn without permission
Dogs that were exhibited for evaluation, but were removed of the show without the express consent of the judge, must be evaluated with the note «insufficient».
The rating «insufficient» is linked to the closing of the breeding registry, which comes into force with the issuance of the evaluation and is communicated by the judge to the central office.
- Specimen data
The exhibitor is obliged to provide true information about his dog. Forgery attempts lead to the initiation of criminal proceedings by the association
- Exhibitors Conduct
The exhibitor is obliged to demonstrate sports conduct and display. Contrary procedures can carry out the disqualification of your dog and/or the loss of place.
The person who intentionally refuses to give requested answers or provide false data, or who commits or tolerates alterations or maneuvers in his dog conducive to misleading or deceiving the judge, loses the distinction already given to his dog during this event and may, if the seriousness of the case warrants it, will be excluded from future events..
- Dogs owned by the judge
Dogs whose breeder or owner is one of the judges of the event and has been transferred for less than a year are not allowed to judge in breeding shows. It is recommended to act with maximum reserve in the case of dogs whose owners or breeders are closely related. The same applies to life partners, parenting partners, homeowners groups, housing, etc.
- Double Handling
Electric sound devices, compressed air, gas are not allowed, nor are guns or protective sleeves, or whips to call the dog. If this happens, the dog can be disqualified and removed from the exhibition.
Evaluation criteria
- Pronounced or prominent: self-confident, impetuous, ambitious, safe capture and hold, no negative reaction when hit with the flexible stick, dense and attentive observation in the custody phase.
- Present or existing: limitations, for example in their security, impetus, in the bite and behaviour in front of the flexible cane, as well as in the custody phase.
- Insufficient: lack of security, strong limitation regarding pressure and workload, lack of interest regarding the helper.
Only dogs that bite the sleeve fully and energetically, showing excellent courage and fighting spirit, will be able to qualify: outstanding or pronounced.
The command to «release» can be given in another language as long as it means the action of «release». You can also order «release» with the name of the specimen. It is not allowed to use the commands «sitting or lying down» so that the horse releases the sleeve. If the bite is not blunt, it will be classified as: existing or present.
If the dog does not release on command, it will not be penalized. (but he/she will not be able to access the highest rating of VA, the highest possible rating for him being excellent). If the dog does not bite, is afraid of the whip, or abandons surveillance, he will be rated insufficient, not approved.
Once the test is finished, the respective identification control will be carried out, be it by tattoo or microchip.
